Black Donuts Inc. is a leading R&D specialist and the only one-stop-shop solution provider for the entire tire industry, from R&D to tire testing to greenfield tire plant design. The company is well-established, international and growth-oriented. Black Donuts Inc. has two subsidiaries in Finland, one in India and as operations evolve, there will be more subsidiaries. Now we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our finance team as a substitute for parental leave. Following the initial fixed-term employment, there is a possibility of extension into a permanent role.

As Financial Controller you will oversee all accounting activities, ensure preparation of financial statements, manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, coordinate audits, and manage tax reporting and statutory filings. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting processes, financial systems, and continuous process improvement. You’ll be working as part of our finance team, which includes three in-house professionals and an external accounting firm. You’ll coordinate the work handled by our accounting partner.

Key responsibilies:
- Producing reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, such as month-end P&L and sales reporting for the parent company and the subsidiaries
- Short-term financial and sales forecast
- Day-to-day tasks include sales invoicing, handling the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, cashflow monitoring and cashflow reporting
- Point of contact for the accounting firm and the general go-to person for finance-related matters
- Ensuring FAS compliance and overseeing IFRS compliance
- Managing annual financial statement process and coordinating financial audits
- Developing reporting process and monitor and ensure compliance with financial policies for the organization and accounting standards and regulations
- A variety of diverse finance management tasks
- Managing tax reporting and statutory filings
- Acting as main user for our accounting system (Netvisor)

Our ideal candidate has:
- Master’s of Bachelor’s degree in accounting or bookkeeping
- Preferably 5+ years of experience of relevant finance management tasks
- Proficiency with 0365 tools, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting and ERP systems (especially Netvisor and NetSuite)
- Excellent attention to detail, result-oriented mindset and good problem-solving skills

It is considered as an advantage if you have:
- Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), especially IAS36 Impairment Testing
- Participated in development projects regarding accounting and ERP systems
- Experience working in an international environment
- Understanding of project-based business and basic know-how of international VAT and Income taxation regarding legal entities

We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional who can work independently. Due to the nature of the position, fluent communication skills both in Finnish and English are required. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.

We work in a flexible hybrid model where the amount of remote and on-site work is not fixed in advance but agreed together based on the team’s and employee’s needs.

This is a fixed-term parental leave substitute position which would preferably start on August 2025 and last approximately until August 2027. The employment is initially fixed-term, with the potential to become permanent after the parental leave substitution. We’ve planned the salary to fall within the range of 4000–5000 euros per month, depending on your expertise and experience.
